The One Stop Liaison Office of the Central Macedonia Region is planning, for the first time in 2024, the implementation of the Open Innovation Competition – Innovation for Society Awards (IFS).
The action is co-organized by the Greek Exporters Association (SEVE), the Federation of Industries of Greece (FIG), the Thess INTEC – Thessaloniki Innovation, the Architectural Aluminium Academy (AAA), the Hellenic-German Chamber (AHK) and the Technology Forum and it is also supported by the Alexander Innovation Zone, the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH), the Centre for Research and Technology Hellas (CERTH), the University of Macedonia, the International Hellenic University (IHU), the Incubation for Growth (I4G), the Kinisis Ventures, the Beyond Expo, the OK!Thess, the Ideas Forward, the Atlantis Consulting, and the Greece Lean Six Sigma.
The IFS Action aims to promote collaboration, creativity and innovation through the innovative solutions that will result from the cooperation of Challenge Owners (established companies) with Solution Providers, such as:
- start-ups/spin-offs
- researchers and/or research teams & labs
- individuals and/or teams of individuals
- tech companies with innovative approaches/design
Objectives of the Action
- Highlighting the potential of the regional innovation ecosystem
- Strengthening and promoting collaborations between businesses and researchers to find innovative solutions with a social impact
The initiation of the Action will take place on 25.04.2024 at I. Vellidis in the context of Beyond and the Technology Forum.
