On Friday, October 18, 2024, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Head of the School of Chemical Engineering of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Dr. Stergios Yantsios and the Director of the Institute of Chemical Processes and Energy Resources of CERTH, Dr. Spyridon Voutetakis.
The cooperation agreement aims to ensure the continuation and further development of the cooperation between DCE/AUTH and CPERI/CERTH, with the expected benefits of maintaining the leadership at national level and the high distinction at international level of their academic and research activities. The purpose of this Memorandum is to undertake and promote joint actions of the two bodies, such as research, development and promotion of research results and scientific products, training of researchers and young scientists, utilization of knowledge and experience and general development through collaborations of common interest.
Undertaken cooperation may include:
- Exchange of visits of teaching and research staff, students and scientific staff for studies, lectures, education -including undergraduate students’ diploma theses-, teaching and research in general.
- Preparation and submission of funding proposals at national and international level and development of joint research projects in areas of mutual interest with the aim of promoting science and research.
- Joint monitoring and supervision of postgraduate students and doctoral candidates, in accordance with the framework of current legislation.
- Development of databases and information in areas of mutual interest.
- Organization of joint scientific events, conferences, meetings and workshops, seminars, as well as development of information and training actions to promote the results of scientific research, actions, initiatives and technological applications on issues of common interest.
- Development of cooperation in other areas of common interest of both bodies and promotion of issues and actions of both bodies through their websites respectively.
