The MEDinCHAMBERS project, co-funded by the European Union under the Interreg NEXT MED Programme, has launched a Call for Expression of Interest for the selection of up to 3 Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in the textile and clothing sector to receive expert evaluation of their environmental performance, including Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) and technical mentoring.
Potentially selected companies will have the opportunity for:
- Life Cycle Assessment and Material Flow Analysis, identifying the processes with the highest environmental impacts and their critical environmental “hot spots” that require improvement.
- Mentoring and technical assistance for developing environmental strategies and action plans will be conducted throughout September 2026. This support will be based on the outcomes of the LCA and MFA (performed from 24 June to 24 August) and will leverage the project’s Digital Detector Service.
- Interaction with the national and international sustainability ecosystem, including policymakers, and representatives from academia and civil society.
- Recognition through voluntary participation in Local Pilot Knowledge Hubs and in a cross-national bootcamp to be held in Barcelona, Spain, from 14 to 18 September 2026, as well as through a communication brochure presenting the pilot results in a concise and accessible format for wider dissemination.
Financial support:
The project will not provide any direct financial support to selected companies (e.g. in the form of vouchers, grants or any issuance of relevant certificates).
