Michalis Mouratidis, collaborating researcher at CERTH/CPERI, won the best poster award at the 1st GREENERING International Conference held online on 15-16 February 2021 for the research work entitled: “A comparative assessment of alternative solvents for carbon capture in a pilot purification unit using CFD and process modeling tools”. This work concerns the development and implementation of numerical modeling and simulation tools for the design of a pilot unit for the carbon dioxide capture and utilization in a cement industry in the framework of the RECODE research program (www.recodeh2020.eu) under the supervision of Dr. George Skevis (Principal Researcher, CERTH/CPERI).
