The Center for Research and Technology Hellas announces the launch of the project titled "Prominent PLUS - Public pROcureMent of INNOVATION boosting greEN growTh in MED area PLUS", co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund through the Interreg Mediterranean program.
The implementation of the Prominent PLUS project started in June 2021 and is expected to be completed in June 2022. Within the project, 10 partners from Italy, Croatia, Spain, Slovenia, Greece and Bosnia and Herzegovina will cooperate, having a total budget that amounts to 400,000 Euros.
CERTH participates in the project leading the activity of evaluating the institutional and territorial needs in the countries of Slovenia, Greece and Bosnia and Herzegovina that concern the Public Procurement of Innovation (PPI).
‘Procuring innovation’ is a public procurement aimed at developing or purchasing innovative solutions, which may be new or highly improved products and services, but also new ways of working and organising.
The Prominent PLUS project will focus on the transfer of knowledge and best practices to countries such as Greece, Slovenia and Bosnia and Herzegovina. The transferring, based on a peer-to-peer process, will build on the outputs and methodologies developed in the previous Prominent MED project and will be simultaneously focusing on both demand and supply side to increase the mutual activity and interest of key sectors, which will create opportunities for business growth.
