The greek newspaper "Ethnos" published the interview of Dr. Petros Petrounias, member of CERTH, regarding an innovative study, coordinated by Dr. Nikolaos Koukouzas, Research Director of CERTH / IDEP. The research has been published in the scientific journal Sustainability under the title: "An Innovative Experimental Petrographic Study of Concrete Produced by Animal Bones and Human Hair Fibers".The study examines the production of environmentally friendly concretes by using by-products such as animal bones and human hair fibres as concrete components, resulted by slaughterhouses butchers and hair salon waste. For this research, CERTH / IDEP collaborated with the Department of Geology - University of Patras and ELGO DIMITRA (Plant Protection Division of Patras).
