Το Εργαστήριο Ανάπτυξης Ολοκληρωμένων Συστημάτων Διεργασιών είναι ένα βασικό εργαστήριο του Ινστιτούτου Τεχνικής Χημικών Διεργασιών, το οποίο βρίσκεται στη Θεσσαλονίκη, στην Ελλάδα.

Ερευνητικές Περιοχές

Οι κύριοι στόχοι του εργαστηρίου περιλαμβάνουν:

Το εργαστήριό έχει πάρει μέρος σε πολυάριθμες ανταγωνιστικές Ευρωπαϊκές και Εθνικές έρευνες έργων και έχει αναπτύξει μοναδικές υποδομές, σε Ευρωπαϊκό επίπεδο, και τεχνολογία στα παρακάτω:

Παραγωγή υδρογόνου από RES

Το εργαστήριο απαρτίζεται από προσωπικό 30 εργαζομένων που αποτελείται από ερευνητές, αποφοίτους ανατάτων σχολών, μηχανικούς ελέγχου, τεχνικούς και συνεργαζόμενα μέλη ΔΕΠ. Η υποδομή του εργαστηρίου αποτελείται από 8 πιλοτικές μονάδες (methanol, syngas, hydroprocessing, PEM) , ένα μηχανουργίο 230μ2 ,ένα δωμάτιο βαθμολόγησης και έναν κεντρικό χώρο ελέγχου όλων των εξυπηρετητών.

Εξοπλισμός

ΕΞΟΠΛΙΣΜΟΣ ΠΙΛΟΤΙΚΩΝ ΜΟΝΑΔΩΝ

Το ΕΑΝΟΣΥΣ είναι εξοπλισμένο με 8 πιλοτικές μονάδες για την παραγωγή περιβαλλοντικών καυσίμων και ενέργειας. Αυτές οι μονάδες περιλαμβάνουν:

1. Πιλοτική μονάδα παραγωγής αερίου σύνθεσης (SYNGAS UNIT)

Πιλοτική μονάδα παραγωγής αερίου σύνθεσης (SYNGAS UNIT)

Η πιλοτική μονάδα παράγωγης αερίου σύνθεσης που σχεδιάστηκε από το επιστημονικό προσωπικό του εργαστηρίου και κατασκευάστηκε από τους τεχνικούς του εργαστηρίου, έχει σαν στόχο την μετατροπή του φυσικού αερίου, αερίων υδρογονανθράκων και υγρών οξυγονούχων συστατικών σε αέριο σύνθεσης. Αποτελείται από δύο αντιδραστήρες που μπορούν να λειτουργήσουν παράλληλα: ένα σταθερής κλίνης και ένα τύπου πίδακα.  Η πιλοτική μονάδα είναι πλήρως αυτοματοποιημένη.

Stand alone power system based on solar and wind energy with hydrogen

PSDI has developed a stand alone power system which is based on solar and wind energy in order to produce hydrogen. The 10 kWp power system includes an energy storage facility which enables the autonomous power production throughout the year. This power system is part of an ongoing collaboration with a private company in Xanthi, Greece.

Machine Shop and Calibration Room

This Machine Shop includes all necessary machinery infrastructure to support the construction and maintenance of the laboratory pilot plants. The machine shop includes mechanical and electrical equipment for supporting the laboratory needs.

PSDI is further equipped with specialized infrastructure which enables the calibration of instrumentation equipment including pressure transmitters, temperature transmitters, mass flowmeters.

Informatics

The PSDI employs and also develops informatics tools in order to support the needs of the affiliated laboratories and to provide third-party services. These tools include:

  1. Informatics infrastructure for providing various services via internet
  2. Infrastructure for remote monitoring and data safety via internet
  3. Laboratory Information Management System, (LIMS)
  4. Process Information Management System, (PIMS)
  5. Control and data management system of pilot plant units

Other facilities within CPERI

PSDI works closely with other laboratories of CPERI which provide additional services that support the research programs PSDI is involved with. Within CPERI there is a modern and fully equipped analytical laboratory involved in fuel quality control (analyses on crude oil, petroleum fractions, products and lubricants) as well as quality control of hydrocarbon gaseous mixtures.  Furthermore PSDI collaborates with another independent laboratory which allows detailed physical, chemical and morphological characterization of materials.

Systematic design and construction of bench and pilot plant scale units for chemicals production and energy conversion​

Process Systems Design & Implementation (PSDI) has many years of experience designing and constructing bench and pilot plant scale units for various sectors of the chemical process industry. Specifically, our laboratory has wide experience in fluid and fixed-bed catalytic pilot plants and also gives cost effective, customized services for every application.

For every phase of a pilot plant construction, PSDI has highly skilled, experienced and trained staff (process, electrical, automation engineers and technicians) to provide improved control and automation and ensure safe and optimal operation of the unit.

e1PSDI offers the following services on this field:

  • Design and detailed engineering for each application
  • Mechanical and electrical construction of new pilot plant units
  • Testing and operation of new pilot plants
  • Modifications of existing units
  • Upgrades and scale-up of existing pilot plants and control systems
  • Systems integration in new and existing units
  • Start-up of new pilot plants and set up of the operating procedures
  • Safety management and troubleshooting in pilot plants operation
  • Consulting in new applications and pilot plant unit set-ups.

Once a new pilot plant construction project has been under taken, a basic engineering phase is being assessed where all the project objectives are set and studied in a preliminary level. This phase is followed by a detailed engineering phasewhere all aspects in terms of system implementation (process and instrumentation design, bill of materials, electrical schematics, reactor design, frame and site layout, control and software configuration etc) are considered thoroughly.

The two phases provide input to the construction phase and their results are utilized for equipment procurement, mechanical and electrical set-up of the unit and final systems integration. Ultimately, a complete set of functional and control tests are provided as part of the commissioning phase. Consulting services related to the system and unit design, during the whole project, as well as after-sales support can be offered upon client’s request.
