VERDEinMED Call of Expression of Interest for Businesses of the Textile & Clothing sector

As part of the European project VERDEinMED, a new Call for Expression of Interest has opened for the selection of companies operating within any stage of the Textiles & Clothing products life cycle, which wish to receive specialized technical assistance on sustainability and circular economy issues.
Potentially eligible companies have the opportunity to benefit from their participation in tailored consulting, training and coaching programs, aimed at strengthening their environmental performance and competitiveness.

  1. Available services include:
    Private/Group Consulting – Personalized advisory services to address sustainability challenges specific to the textile industry.
  2. Coaching – Strategic guidance for integrating circular economy principles into business operations.
  3. Training – Educational programs, workshops, and capacity-building activities tailored to the needs of textile businesses.
  4. Mentoring – Ongoing advisory support to facilitate the adoption of best practices and innovative solutions.

The areas of support include:

  1. Support services for product sustainable innovation (ecodesign, second-life products, material innovation)
  2. Support services for process sustainable innovation (circular innovation, material recovery, recycling, waste minimization)
  3. Product/process sustainability certifications (LCA, EcoLabel, EPD)
  4. New international legal and regulatory standards & labelling (GOTS, OEKO-TEX, Fair Trade)
  5. Climate Change Services (carbon accounting, net-zero strategies, climate risk assessment)
  6. Circular Economy Services (closed-loop systems, waste reduction, EPR systems, take-back schemes)
  7. Certifications and Policies Services (sustainability policies, compliance, certification training)
  8. Manufacturing Systems Optimization (lean manufacturing, energy-efficient machinery, monitoring systems)
  9. Energy Management Services (energy audits, renewable energy integration, analytics-based optimization)
  10. Environmental Legislation Compliance (legal audits, business compliance, trade regulations)
  11. Sustainable Business Models Development (corporate sustainability strategies, stakeholder engagement, green innovation)

Applications are open to businesses that meet the following eligibility criteria:
They constitute:

  • Legal bodies, or
  • Individual businesses

which operate at any stage of the textile & clothing products life cycle — from production to the final disposal of new, used or retired products.

In addition, at the time of application, businesses must have one of the following eligible Activity Code Numbers (ΚΑΔ) as main or secondary:

13 Textile production
14 Wearing apparel manufacturing
15 Leather and leather products industry
38.11 Collection of non-hazardous waste
38.21 Treatment and disposal of non-hazardous waste
38.32 Recovery of sorted material

The application period runs from 16 June to 31 July 2025 (12:00 CET).

Selected beneficiaries will be notified via email after the deadline, and will receive technical assistance from September 15, 2025 to December 31, 2025.

The application must be submitted according to the instructions and using the forms included in the attached PDF file.
